Job Opportunity: Senior Lead Radiographer (Training & Development Team)

Clinic Opening Hours: No weekends! Operating between 08:00 - 20:00

Are you an experienced Senior MRI Radiographer seeking new challenges in a dynamic work environment? We are currently hiring for the position of Lead Training Radiographer. The ideal candidate will possess competence in MRI and strong leadership skills. Ideally we need someone within CT, X-Rays and Theatres experience.

Responsibilities:

As the Senior Training Radiographer, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining, implementing, and continually improving training programs for all radiographers, including induction; MRI, CT, X-ray, and theatre training.
  • Direct line management and supervision of qualified junior staff, assisting them with identified training needs.
  • Participation in recruitment, equipment servicing and maintenance, and governance of the department in areas such as risk management, health and safety, research, and audit activities.
  • Collaborating with the Imaging Manager and deputy lead Radiographers to enhance services and ensure staff are trained to provide high-quality imaging.
  • Commitment to protocol development and adaptation.

Requirements:

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Expertise in MRI, preferably with advanced knowledge in Sports injuries and orthopaedic practices.
  • Significant experience in X-Ray and II Orthopaedics procedures.
  • Experience in training junior radiographers.
  • Strong leadership and managerial qualities.
  • IV cannulation certificate.
  • Experience with Siemens scanners (desirable, not necessary).
  • Ability to make judgements involving complex facts or situations requiring analysis, interpretation, and comparison of a range of options.
