Senior/Lead Estimator

We have an exciting opportunity to work with a main contractor in the Rail/Water sector as a Senior Estimator on permanent basis. As the Senior Estimator you will lead estimates for civil engineering works and collaborate with the tender teams.

Responsibilities:
* Lead team of estimators for larger tendors, monitoring and developing junior estimators
* identify opportunity and risk during tender process
* Present basis of estimate and key assumptions
* Prepare handovers to site teams at contract award
* Develop a tender win stratergy alongside the business unit teams
* Liase with the business unit, Bid Manager and Planner to agree methodology and principles
What do we need from you?
* Experience in water and civils sectors
* Proven track record working on tenders ranging up to £50million
* Chartered, incorporated status or similar
* Ability to ensure all tender submissions are both feasible and profitable
* Confidence in dealing with customers and personnel at a senior level
