Jee is a leading independent multi-discipline subsea engineering and training company operating in the global oil, gas and renewables industries. Our oil and gas engineering services cover the whole life-of-field, from front end appraise and select studies, through FEED and detailed design, through to integrity management, operations support and decommissioning. In the renewables sector we cover subsea cables on offshore wind farms, providing design, integrity management, and monitoring services. Jee’s training division delivers 100+ technical courses a year in all the major oil and gas hubs.The RoleWe are currently looking for Senior/Lead Pipeline Engineers to be based in either our Tonbridge or Aberdeen offices. Candidates should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in a field relating to pipeline engineering.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Work:Develop pipeline integrity management policies, strategies and plansPerform pipeline fitness for service assessments, risk assessments and lifetime extension assessmentsAct as consultant at client’s offices (where required)Prepare and check engineering calculations, particularly using Excel and MathcadCheck and authorise FE analyses (typically Abaqus CAE and coded input decks)Write professional and concise reports, specifications, and procedurePrepare and give presentations to clientsWork within QMS, suggesting improvements and participating in quality auditWrite and update Jee’s technical courses (PowerPoint)Supervision and Leadership:Lead multi-disciplinary project teamLine management and IMechE mentoringInstruct, supervise and feedback to junior engineerSales and Account Management:Write proposals in conjunction with sales and leadership team, and head of service lineAct as client technical contact / representative for key clientsCross-sell Jee services and be a Jee champion inside and outside of the officeProject Management:Planning and costs schedules, project controlsReview client contracts and support negotiations with clientSelect subcontractors and monitor progress for on-time deliveryIntegrate work/product from subcontractor into Jee deliveryReporting and progress assessment34 days leave (including bank holidays)Employee-Owned Trust (“John Lewis”) business modelPrivate medical coverCycle to Work SchemePensionLife AssuranceAccess to our own in-house solid portfolio of subsea engineering training coursesPerson Specification2.1 Master’s degree or higher in engineering, aeronautics, naval architecture, maths, or physicsRight to work in the UKKnowledgeGood MS Office Skills, Excel and WordSpecialism in integrity management of pipelines and associated infrastructureExperience Minimum of 6 years – 10 years’ experience including time working in a similar roleProven client relationship skills within an engineering project-based environmentOffshore experience and BOSIET (desirable)IMechE Chartership or equivalent (desirable)Experience of line management and mentoring and coaching senior engineers (desirable)Mathcad and FEA skills, particularly Abaqus, FS2000 (desirable)Skills and AbilityStrong analytical and organisational skillsAbility to prioritise workload and communicate to stake holdersGood MS Office Skills, particularly Excel and WordExcellent attention to detail and high standardsPersonal AttributesAbility to communicate effectively and appropriately at all levelsAbility to work under pressureFlexible and adaptableJob Category: Engineering Job Type: Full Time, HybridJob Location: Aberdeen or TonbridgeEquality and Diversity: Jee is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
