Job Title: Senior / Lead BMS EngineerLocation: London/South EastSalary: £45,000 - £60,000Job type / Term: Permanent / Full TimeBenefits: Company Car / Car Allowance, Pension Contributions, Private Healthcare.Job Description:Our Client is an independent & privately owned company who are a leading provider of intelligent building control system solutions.Due to company growth they are looking to take on a bright, proactive and enthusiastic Senior BMS Engineer to join them to work in thier projects deparment. The role is predominantly based in London with working from home an option and regular site visits to coordinate / meet with customers etc.The responsibilities of the Senior Engineer are as follows:-To Engineer / Design Projects in line with issued Project informationTo ensure that the Design is in line with the Project specificationTo schedule all works in line with the contact programTo ensure that the Project maintains the required profit marginsTo ensure that the company safety policy is adhered toTo co-ordinate the collation of electrical installation files and commissioning filesTo report to the department head any shortfalls within the Project costing that does not line up with the specification in the form of a written reportTo raise monthly applications and final accountsTo attend site meetings when required and liaise with the client to agree contractual pointsTo co-ordinate site works with our own commissioning and electrical labourTo carry out risk assessments and prepare method statementsTo generate a Description of Operation for inclusion within the Operation & Maintenance ManualsTo procure all control devices and to issue orders for specialist devicesTo arrange delivery of controls and panels in line with programme of worksTo raise subcontract orders when requiredTo check invoices for correct value and discount levelsTo co-ordinate with the Graphics Dept for the generation of any required BMS graphicsTo co-ordinate with the Software Dept for the planned generation of software programsTo use one's personal experience to assist site and office colleagues on problems that may occurIf your experience allows, to carry out software writing at times when he system is up to capacityWhen required, attend handover meetings with clientsTo co-ordinate the completion of any snagging reportsHelp train and develop other engineers where needed. Candidate Specification:All applicant's MUST have previous experience in a BMS (Building Management System) role, however, although previous Project Management experience is desirable it is not essentialExperience working with Trend, Siemens, Schneider or Tridium BMS systems.Candidate's applying will be require the ability to demonstrate a strong Controls backgroundYou should have excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with members of staff at all levelsYou should possess the ability to effectively work both on own initiative as well as part of a team
