Role Purpose:
As a key member of the IT Operations Team, the Senior IT Systems Administrator will play a vital role in ensuring the operational efficiency, security, and reliability of our IT infrastructure. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, you'll provide high-level technical support across various systems and applications, as well as contribute to IT projects aimed at improving services. This role requires a strong focus on cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead proactive management and configuration of Azure services.
Take a lead role in planning and implementing IT projects.
Monitor and maintain the health and performance of IT systems, including Azure services, Intune, SharePoint, Active Directory, etc.
Provide third-line technical support for IT infrastructure in Azure.
Take ownership of incidents and problems, identifyingct with a security-first mindset, following best practices to maintain infrastructure integrity.
Assist in disaster recovery planning and testing, including PEN testing.
Keep relevant personnel informed of project progress and deviations from expected timelines.
Ensure system documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Key Skills and Experience:
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Over 3 years of proven experience as a System Administrator or equivalent.
Certification in ITIL 4 and MS Azure is desirable.
Strong technical knowledge across various technologies, including Azure, SharePoint, Intune, Windows Server, etc.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Resourcefulness, problem-solving ability, and good judgment.
Initiative, adaptability, and honesty.
Project management experience is desirable.
Knowledge of current and emerging technologies is desirable.
Package:
Salary: £46,000 to £50,000 Depending on experience
