This is an exciting and fast-paced role that requires a team mentality to fit in with our supportive and team-based culture.Responsibilities:The Project Manager reports directly to the Portfolio Lead and is accountable for:Managing the full lifecycle of projects in line with existing methodologies, including:Project goal, objectives and scoping the case for changeSupporting the Business Case development Project planning and seeking related stage gate and key milestones approval
Providing regular briefings as required to relevant committees / stakeholders Governance oversight and reporting with clear accountabilityKPI management and post project implementation reviewProviding overall budgetary direction and control Supporting the identification and management of benefits realisation within the project lifecycleEnsure effective oversight and co-ordination of multiple projects, with particular emphasis on project prioritisation, effective collaboration and matrix management of interdependencies, escalation and management of relevant risks, issues and changeContinuously assess project outcomes and benefits, and make necessary adjustments as required to improve project effectiveness and deliveryCollaborating with business areas and enabling functions to deliver projects to the production environment, whist maintaining operational stability and supporting benefits realisationEssential Knowledge & ExperienceStrong working experience as Senior Project Manager roles with in business and/or IT deliveryPMI, MSP and PRINCE 2 qualification (or equivalent) will be required and experience of delivering complex programmes and building project/programme management teamsPrevious experience of working in a programme/portfolio environment and an understanding of IT and business strategies, delivering high complexity projects under a programme/portfolio upto £10mMust have experience of building and maintaining effective relationships at a senior level in the bank and external to the bankProven commercial experience in the development and management of the project business cases and delivery budgetsProven ability to drive outstanding performance and gain commitment through developing, coaching, motivating, energising and inspiring team membersDesirable knowledge & Experience: Good understanding of all stages in a project lifecycle
