As a result of exciting expansion, this industry-leading financial services organisation has created a new position for a "big picture thinker" with a track record of success within category management. Since the change project a few months ago, a plethora of opportunities have bloomed in the procurement leadership team. You'll be joining other senior leaders within the procurement team and the wider company framework to be the driving force in this transitional period.

As the Senior IT Category Manager for this Leading Financial Services Organisation you will :-

• Deliver all DDaT related procurement strategy, initiatives and change
• Effective creation, development and management of a pipeline of procurement projects
• Provide crucial insight and expertise on work and savings plans
• Acquire and present strong market intelligence to stakeholders and colleagues
• Give exemplary coaching and mentoring to the category managers
• Design and implement innovative IT category and sourcing strategies to unlock multi-million pound savings
• Use prior experience to guarantee that all tender requirements align with business best practice
• Manage an experienced IT Procurement experts, instilling a high performance culture and being an inspirational senior leader to the wider team

Required Background:

• IT & Technology Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management expertise gained from within a reputable brand
• Degree & MCIPS (preferred not essential)
