Senior IT Systems Analyst
Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm + on call support
Grade 2 Salary Scale £31,000 fixed 12-month term + Benefits

The Role:
To maintain and develop the functionality, understanding and use of Company IT Solutions in a manner that best promotes the Company Purpose.
Key Accountabilities:
Provide second line support to end users, logging, monitoring, escalating, resolving IT queries and provide first line support during busy periods, holiday, and sickness cover.
Complete daily administration of the IT infrastructure, ensuring Data Recovery and contingency procedures are valid.
Be responsible for the administration, maintenance, support, and reliability of the IT environment, including Microsoft Azure, M365, cloud services, infrastructure, physical and virtual servers, and all non-Microsoft applications.
Ensure the infrastructure is secure and protected from virus and malicious attack.
Assist in the delivery of projects as required, ensuring budget, time and project goal requirements are met.
Consult with external suppliers to obtain cost effective and reliable solutions within budget.
Ensure the availability of communication links to external or hosted clients/services.
To be aware of both existing and emerging technological solutions and where applicable, research, propose and justify their application within the company.
Be part of and implement out of hours IT support.
Ensure any changes to systems, policies or procedures are communicated effectively to all relevant personnel and associated documentation is kept up to date.
To ensure any necessary maintenance work is conducted in a co-ordinated manner to minimise disruption to users and the Company.
To be aware of and implement all aspects of IT legislation within the Company.
Co-ordinate and where appropriate conduct training relating to implementation of new IT related solutions.
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills, both within the team, amongst colleagues and with external contacts.
Adhere to and observe Health and Safety Regulations at all times. Report all hazards or accidents promptly and take reasonable care for your own safety and the safety of colleagues.
To be aware and focused on "good energy usage" within the workplace to ensure that energy is used efficiently, and waste is minimised.
Perform any other duties that may be assigned to him/her and advise the IT Manager on any matters affecting the Company's interest at all times.
Applicants should have:
Strong troubleshooting skills and technical aptitude;
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, 365 Microsoft Windows Desktop 10/11, Microsoft Server 2016+, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, VMWare administration.
Familiarity with networks and associated hardware;
Ability to work within an incident detection and response process.
