Astrum Search is delighted to be working exclusively with a globally recognised retail business to recruit a new Senior Internal Auditor. The business is made up of a number of divisions and the internal audit team work across the Group.
The role will report to the Senior Internal Audit Manager and is London based with a hybrid working patter (2 days per week on average).
Key Responsibilities:
Perform internal audit assignments in accordance with the internal audit plan as well as requests from management.
Work with stakeholders to prepare detailed audit plans with a focus on key risks.
Perform rigorous audit testing whilst being flexible in response to findings and emerging risks.
Agree issues, impact and route causes with management, providing recommendations to address control weaknesses.
Write clear, concise, robust and balanced audit reports.
Contribute to the ongoing development of the audit plan.
Lead and manage assigned auditors during audit assignments.
Coach and help develop more junior members of the team.
Assist in facilitating the Enterprise Risk Management programme, ensuring management have identified risks, assessed them appropriately, and put suitable mitigations in place.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualified accountant or internal auditor (ACA/ACCA/IIA).
Prior internal audit experience is preferred but those from an external audit background with good controls experience will be considered.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills; able to influence senior stakeholders when required.
A level of professional integrity and able to work to deadlines..
