What you can expect as a Senior Internal Auditor:Salary of up to £66,000PermanentHybrid roleNot only are we offering a competitive salary and a fantastic bonus scheme, you’ll also be entitled to loads of great benefits including, discount and cash back on hundreds of high-street shops and private health insurance, plus much more.As our new Senior Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for undertaking and leading complex internal audit work, with a view to providing independent and objective assurance to our Cabot Group and Senior Management on the design and effectiveness of the groups systems of governance, risk management and internal control.Key responsibilities include:Designing, delivering, and reporting internal audit assurance and advisory workProviding insight into the control framework of the business in an objective, factual and relevant wayCompleting credible technical analysis, and critical thinking to business problems – drawing on commercial experiences in a way that provides valueReviewing, tracking, reporting, and chasing management actions – being proactive in taking any relevant actionAssisting in the production of management information for the Executive Directors and the Audit Committee - conduct other assignments or special projects, as requested by the Head of Internal AuditRepresent the internal audit function in a range of business meetings, forums and contextsContributing to the strategic direction and activities of the global internal audit department including in relation to audit planning, scheduling, workflow management and strategies over the best audit approach and methodology to undertake to achieve the best outcomesDemonstrate a good understanding of business operations, risk management, governance, auditing techniques, regulatory contexts, and industry developmentsWe are looking for someone with:Previous experience of working as a senior internal audit or within an internal auditor role, or similar ‘assurance’ function (e.g., risk management, compliance, or an external audit firm / consultancy); or first line controls experience is keyStrong report writing skillsPreferably an individual who has, or is working towards, a professional qualification in internal auditing (CIIA/ CMIIA) or accountancy (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA etc.) / equivalentPrevious experience of working in the financial services sector and FCA regulation is preferableGood knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPointExperience of relevant knowledge of current risk management, governance, and financial services regulatory frameworksExperience with Auditboard (audit management software) will be helpfulWhat happens next?If this sounds like you and you’d like to join our rapidly expanding company that offers excellent career progression, then apply now!Working for Cabot:You’ll be working for an award winning; Investors in People Gold accredited organisation.
