We are looking for someone who has a strong background in insurance for Lloyds London Market, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.The role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to gather, analyse, interpret data and prioritizing business requirements and delivering analytical solutions that will support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. As the Senior Insights Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs for content and technical solutions, focusing on data-driven insights and analytics. The successful candidate will have great stakeholder engagement skills with a data background, a deep understanding of the specialty insurance domain, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable data solutions.MRSG is at the beginning of an ambitious data journey, and this is an exciting time to join the organisation and to be a part of it realising its digital, data and analytics ambitions.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with underwriters, actuaries, and other business units to capture and analyse data needs from various source systems (Policy, Underwriting , Claims , Revenue etc.)Understand, validate and design business requirements for data products including KPIs, definitions, visualisation and general look and feelSupporting in designing comprehensive reports and dashboards that communicate key performance indicators and insights to business stakeholders.Present and consult in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical audiences through wireframes and visualization tools.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data analytics with business goals and objectives.Contribute to the development of strategic plans and initiatives based on data-driven insights.Plan and prioritize requirements for delivery.Support the visualisation of scenario analysis and provide insights into potential outcomes based on various factors.Support the Data Governance function in the develop and enforcement of data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards across all insights and data products developed.Participate in data quality and compliance audits as needed.Work closely with data engineers, developers, and architects and BI Developers to implement data solutions that meet expected requirements set out by IT and in relation to the business need.Create comprehensive documentation for data solutions, including data dictionaries, business glossaries, process flows, and user guides.Proficient in analysing complex datasets to derive actionable insights.Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.Understanding of business processes and goals to align data analysis with business objectivesKnowledge of data cleansing and preprocessing techniques.Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.Experience in ensuring data quality and integrity through validation and cleansing processes.Knowledge and SkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or related Business discipline).Proven experience in a similar role within the insurance industry, with a focus on specialty lines.Strong knowledge of insurance concepts, underwriting principles, and market dynamics.Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex findings to diverse audiences.Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).Proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) desirable.Your career with usAt MRSG, you’ll find the flexibility, development and support you need to excel your career combined with a competitive salary and a benefits package that promotes wellbeing and work-life balance, on top of the standard features that include a non-contributory pension, private medical care, life assurance and more!Diversity & InclusionCreating an inclusive environment is a crucial part of the Munich Re culture, and we are committed to our Diversity & Inclusion Policy.
