Senior Infrastructure Cloud Consultant | South East & Home Based + Travel | up to £82,200 We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Cloud Consultant to provide hands-on technical consultancy to our clients’ customers; assisting with, and defining the technical strategy, standards and the future services roadmap. THE PRE-REQUISITES: If you can design, implement, migrate, upgrade and deliver capacity with demonstrable real-world hands on experience, we’d like to hear from you today. This role is a client-facing role whereby you will be going onsite to consult and perform tasks on customer environments. Solid experience around the following technology & software is an absolute must: SQL server\infrastructure (not DBA), SCCM, Azure, Intune, Citrix, Active Directory, AD Certificate Services (PKI, SHA1 vs SHA2, etc), VMware, Hyper-V, Office365 migrations, ADFS, AWS & SharePoint Online. THE MAIN DUTIES: Senior Infrastructure Cloud Consultants who can assist in the pre-sales process to ensure designs fulfil both customer requirements and operational standards; operating as a technical subject matter expert (SME), assisting in solution scoping, design and deployment and support transition, should apply. Reviewing and recommending new technologies, with hands-on configuration of complex and custom components for project implementations and service improvements is also important, and if you can consult with new and existing customers to deliver value-added professional services such as capacity planning, security audits, performance optimisation, customer premise deployments and migrations we’d like to hear from you today. Creating comprehensive technical documentation and being the point of escalation for operations teams, whilst presenting written and/or oral reports, including proposal creation, to internal and external stakeholders will make up part of your role. Identification and reporting of security threats, vulnerabilities and breaches, providing root cause and forensic analysis of security breaches and service outages and attending customer sites (and HQ) when required, are all important components to your work. THE TECHNICAL: If you have a professional qualification such as ? AZ-300, AZ-301, MCSE, CCNA and/or a degree, coupled with PRIINCE2 Foundation qualified or ITIL v3, then you are likely to receive an immediate interview request. We are looking for consultants with a decade of experience in a design and implementation technical consultancy role, ideally in a client facing commercial organisation and vast experience of technical environments : i.e. Data centre hosting (Private Cloud), virtualisation (server and desktop), networking, authentication, security and desktop DaaS, PaaS, IaaS, Microsoft SQL to architectural level and Microsoft SCCM to architectural level is vital. In depth Public Cloud experience with Azure, Intune, Conditional Access, O365 and ADFS as well as Skype for Business and Teams is what we are looking for. If you are highly motivated, confident and ambitious with a meticulous approach to work and attention to detail, with a hands-on, pro-active approach to consultancy, then we would love to hear from you. Consultants with excellent interpersonal & communication, documentation and presentation skills will be sought after, and experience in a commercial IT Solutions provider or Managed Services environment will be highly desired. If you have experience with Hyper-V and/or VMWare, Active Directory and Certificate Services; authentication methods, Dell and HP server-based environments, Skype for Business and SAN storage : design, performance tuning, implementations and upgrades, please be in touch. THE DESIRABLES: Exposure to Microsoft Systems Centre products, Monitoring tools, Load balancing, Security best practice awareness and investigation, Compellent SAN, Solarwinds, Cisco Networks, ASA, switching, routing and firewalls and an awareness to Awareness and exposure to ISO, G-Cloud and PSN standards and requirements will be of great interest.
