Job summary
As a key member of the Capital, Estates and Facilities (CEF) Strategy and Governance Team, the post holder will be responsible for providing a business intelligence service to the CEF Senior Leadership Team and operational CEF services, identifying business needs, processes and risks.
Successful delivery of this role will require communication with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external, the extraction and analysis of data from various CEF and Trust information systems and the professional presentation of data in various formats to support CEF, Trust-wide and national reporting.
This role requires initiative, confidence, and self-sufficiency.
Main duties of the job
You will report and analyse data to meet the needs of the performance management programme and the Senior Leadership Team. You will develop relationships with the Directorate's systems managers (e.g., INPHASE, NHS Staff Survey, ESR, Integra, MICAD, Symbiotics, NIMBUS, NET2) and be able to formulate intricate queries to extract data from the Directorate's digital systems creating a data warehouse using SQL, Excel, Reporting Services, and data visualisation tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
You will respond to requests for information ensuring that responses are timely and consistent t with existing published information
You will translate client requirements into management reports, presenting data in the most useful way and be prepared to verbally present if required.
You'll be active in the wider Trust's management groups, Committees and, as required, Board of Directors, and as a team member ensure that the strict deadlines for the provision of information to support these meetings are met.
You'll take minutes as necessary.
You'll manage system security, ensuring data is appropriately accessible ensuring compliance with Trust Information Governance policies, as an information asset owner. You'll prepare and configure system workflows using tools provided such as secure SharePoint groups, folders, lists and views.
You'll lead the configuration of dashboards and automated alerts to capture and highlight potential data issues.
