Title: Senior HSE Advisor Reports to: Operations Manager Location: Ballymoney Job Type: Full Time, PermanentHours: 39hrs
We have an exciting roadmap ahead for new products, services, production capacity and business expansion. As a result of this continued success, we are expanding our teams in Ballymoney. We currently have opportunities for a Senior HSE Advisor.
Position Details
Reporting to the Production Area Manager you will assist all department managers on assigned HSE tasks with the delivery of HSE Plans which ensures the Ballymoney site is fully compliant, managers are proactive and create a culture conducive to the achievement of Business aims and thus delivers bottom line value. Working closely with the operational management team to develop line management capability and the implementation of good people management practices through advising on complex operational matters, coaching and mentoring.Main Duties &
Responsibilities
• Ensuring site Health Safety and Environmental legal compliance• Maintaining IMS System (OHSAS 18001 & ISO14001)• Coordinating and consulting with Directors and Management• Corrective action planning• Implementation of audits to check and verify Health Safety and Environmental compliance• Carry out training and development of the Health Safety and Environmental systems• Consulting with local authorities with regards to Health Safety and Environmental issues• Coordinating with industrial hygienist and Occupational Health Practitioners• Carry out risk assessments• Effectively coach and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team• Managing all civil litigation cases• Carrying out communications and presentations to all levels within the organisation• Management and deployment of Ergonomic – Health and Wellbeing Promotion• Risk management and GRC inspection visits• Occupational health assessments• Occupational hygienist review and implementation of corrective action requirements• Insurance inspection visit facilitation• Racking inspection facilitation• Deployment of the Terex Road Map plans in Safety, Risk Management and Environmental• Training and educational programme evaluations• HSE Initiatives to bring new and innovative ideas forward to help improve our performance and safe guard Terex team members• Incident investigation collation and analysis• Corporate HSE online reporting system• Corporate HSE conference calls• HSE action plan management• HSE team workload co-ordination• PPE tenders usage rates and collation of data• Complete Arena Network Survey• HSE invoice resolution management• HSE control room evaluationThis above description is non-exhaustive and there may be additional duties in accordance with the role.

About you Experience Level & Required
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have:• A NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety or similar.• Knowledge of current Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation• A good working knowledge of Risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR and Display Screen Equipment.• Significant experience gained in a similar role within similar industryThe below would also be desirable though not essential:• Ability to demonstrate significant experience of working within manufacturing environment• NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate• NEBOSH Environment Certificate or similar.• NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Well-being at work• Train the Trainer Certificate• Knowledge of PPC Regulations, UK Packaging regulations,• Experience of implementation, development or auditing of management systems; OHSAS 18001/ISO45001, ISO50001, ISO14001, ISO9001• Experience of coaching and mentoring• Membership of IOSH Skills & Competencies: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities• Self-motivated and high energy• Ability to work within a team• Ability to work in an environment that is fluid with constantly changing priorities• Negotiation skills• Customer focus• Action Orientation• Excellent verbal and written skills• Ability to influence at all levels• Highest level of integrity and trust• Drive for results• Excellent listening skills• Business Acumen• Perseverance All applicants must demonstrate through their application form how they meet the criteria for the position applied for.
