Headquartered in New York with offices in Beijing, Brussels, Hong Kong, Houston, London, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, São Paulo, Tokyo and Washington, D.C., the Firm provides coordinated legal advice and transactional capability to clients around the globe.Description/Job SummaryPerformance Management.To support the Head of HR with tracking and maintaining a strong performance management programme ensuring business support staff are optimising their potential.Operations.You will be responsible for leading and ensuring excellence and best practice on all operational processes, procedures and HR Policies.Responsibilities/DutiesPro-actively developing effective working relationships with business service managers and directors around the firm. Facilitating delivery of an on-going performance management review, reinforcing the importance of continuous and honest feedback including coaching managers. Develop, maintain and implement best practice HR Policies. Providing support and advice to all business service support teams on strategy and operational matters. Developing and supporting projects to support HR and wider firm strategies. In conjunction with the Head of HR and the L&D manager evaluate training and development requirements. To assist Head of HR with annual salary review and bonus distribution. Develop recognition and engagement strategies that promote increased understanding by employees on performance reviews and career progression. Support new Business Services Team members as they settle into the firm and ensure that performance is monitored and reviewed on a regular basis during the probationary period and beyond. Review feedback from performance reviews with the Head of HR for themes/concerns. Liaising with New York when needed and ensuring one firm approach where appropriate and required. Able to report to the Head of HR with reports and analysis when required. Review, improve/develop and implement HR Policies and operational processes and procedures (harmonising where possible). Required SkillsProven HR experience of five years is required, ideally with performance management and operations capability. Outstanding organisational and communication skills is required together with proven leadership capabilities and solid knowledge of employment legislation and its application. Previous experience of managing and developing employees. Proven record of working with senior stakeholders of a business. Team player with strong customer focus. Understands the importance of client and Firm confidentiality and able to act with discretion and diplomacy at all times. Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team. Analytical and can use data to present information clearly. Advanced in Excel. Educated to degree level. CIPD level 7 will be an advantage. Sound judgement.
