It’s about the environment, the atmosphere, the people – creating that sense of home that will help students feel safe, secure and help them thrive.Here at UPP we have an interesting opportunity for a Senior HR Business Partner to join our HR team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract from June 2024 to cover maternity leave; delivering a mix of both strategic business partnering and project management.Working closely with our Chief HR Officer (CHRO), this pivotal role will have responsibilities in the following areas:Primarily provide a range of support to our corporate teams, partnering with the business to deliver the Group HR strategy and locally driven HR initiatives designed to improve productivity, deliver cost reduction, increase
capability/performance
levels, and enhance employee engagement.Developing and maintaining strong relationships across a broad range of stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership Team, Senior Leadership Team, managers, employees, and external clients.When needed, support the London region on-site operations team with key people related activity, providing coaching to managers, ER support, and delivering the ‘voice of the customer’ back to the specialist HR teams (recruitment, operations, learning and development etc).Project manage and support the design and implementation of HR transformation and change programmes for assigned business areas, including organisational design, restructuring, collective consultation, variation of contracts and TUPE transfers.Use people and business data to develop actionable insights to deliver the HR strategy and influence key decision makers. Preparing and presenting data and business case information in an engaging and succinct way, utilising relevant presentation tools.Whilst always working in line with our values and behaviours, driving consistency in HR practices across the business and providing expert input across the full range of HR issues.This hybrid role will be based in our award-winning offices near London Bridge and Cannon Street stations with travel to our university sites.We are looking for you to have already worked in a similar environment with proven experience as an HRBP at a senior/strategic level and have a solid understanding of the full HR lifecycle, current UK employment legislation, HR policies and best practice.You will have good commercial acumen and credibility, experience of managing and leading projects and change programmes and the ability to interrogate system data and develop actionable insights.Alongside this, you will be proactive, forward thinking and customer focused with strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence at all levels through compelling argument and data, as well as have a passion for service improvement.You will also be able to work at pace, effectively multitask and thrive on change.In return, we are offering a competitive salary of circa. £70k with a great benefits package and the opportunity to work with a passionate and supportive HR team.
