Platform Resourcing are currently working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking a Senior HR Advisor to join their dynamic and friendly team. The successful candidate will provide support to the Senior Management team, in a HR generalist role that will cover office-based employees, and manufacturing/ warehouse-based employees. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience within a HR Advisor role, with an industry background of either manufacturing/ engineering or logistics. You will cover recruitment, delivering contracts of employment, providing HR advice to all employees on training, development, employee relations and performance management, including supporting in disciplinary and grievance procedures and meetings.

Senior HR Advisor Benefits:

  • Salary of up to �35,000 plus a yearly 10% bonus (up to �#####) dependent on experience

Senior HR Advisor Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working with and supporting the senior management team with operational HR, providing advice on all areas of recruitment, contracts of employment, employee relations, training, development and performance management.
  • To offer employees advice on HR policies and procedures, as well as relevant employment legislation.
  • Providing management support in relation to the control and management of both long term and short-term absence, overtime and holidays.
  • Working on complex employee relations issues.
  • Supporting organisational change and resource planning.
  • Supporting end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, attending interviews, producing offers and sending contracts of employment
  • Completing new employee inductions.
  • Recommending employees for Occupational Health when necessary.
  • Promotion of best HR practice by challenging, directing, supporting and influencing others within every department.
  • Collating information required, analysing data to recognise trends, and implement practices in order to avoid negative impacts on the business.
  • Ensuring all company procedures and policies are followed, reporting any concerns of noncompliance immediately.

Senior HR Advisor Essential Experience/Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience working within a HR Advisory role, within either the Manufacturing/ Engineering/ Logistics industry.
  • You must have demonstrable experience in the recruitment of staff, handling contracts of employment, as well as training and development of staff.
  • Experience of handing employee relations, including reviews, appraisals, performance management, and grievances/ disciplinaries.
  • Qualifications or additional training within HR support are desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent influencing skills.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in order to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels.
  • Good time management and planning skills.
  • High-level of self-motivation, independence and self-reliance.
  • Good computer literacy and numeracy i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
  • You must be happy to attend their Production site (which is very close by), to meet with Senior Production Management to carry out interviews & performance meetings with the manufacturing team.
