Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join our HR Advisory team. This pivotal role is part of the Global Shared Services (GSS) organisation at DNV which provides high quality services within HR, Finance and IT.
The GSS HR Advisory team provides support to all DNV Business Areas. This role partners with a defined portfolio of businesses and services across UK & Ireland.
Our Opportunity:
As the Senior HR Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in aligning GSS HR services and functional teams with their essential requirements. You'll be working on complex cases and projects within specific business units. You'll act as a consultant to both management and Business Area HR ("BA HR") on matters concerning employee relations and HR. Anticipating and addressing the HR and employee relations needs of your assigned business unit will be central to your role, making you an indispensable asset to our organisation. Through the trusted relationships with your stakeholders that you develop and manage, you'll be a change agent for GSS HR and ensure that SLA services are performed efficiently, effectively and to high quality.
You'll be responsible for:
Applying UK and/or Irish employment law and HR practice knowledge including the interpretation of relevant Acts, Regulations, legislation, policies and procedures
Consulting and advising stakeholders including Line Managers and employees
Providing day-to-day employee relations guidance to line management (e.g., performance management, dispute resolution, coaching, counselling)
Supporting restructures, TUPE and M&A processes including harmonization of terms and conditions
Managing and supporting key HR initiatives, regional and global projects as they arise
Supporting in keeping our services and practices compliant with internal and external regulations such as GDPR, ISO27001 and local laws

Qualifications
Along with your natural curiosity and a passion for HR, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills, experience and attribute for this opportunity:
Considerable HR experience ideally in a relevant role (HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, Consultant, Employment Law)
Sound knowledge and practical application of UK employment legislation and ER case management best practice and immigration knowledge is desirable
Sound ER investigation experience
Extensive M&A experience (divestments, acquisitions, mergers)
Customer focus and service mindset
Project management experience (desirable)
Previous success of working closely with and influencing senior stakeholders to gain buy-in and support of HR and company initiatives
Experience of working in a shared service environment (desirable)
Good communication and interpersonal skills at all organisational levels
A comfort with working independently
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and competing deadlines
