Anderson Knight Recruitment have partnered with a Glasgow based client to recruit a Senior HR Adviser for a full time, fixed term contract position. This is a maternity cover contract, which may lead to a permanent position due to busy workloads in the team, the role will be office based, 5 days per week in Glasgow, with public transport links nearby. This is a busy role and would suit someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and has proven experience of managing a high volume ER caseload.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Lead disciplinary, grievance, and absence procedures, ensuring procedural fairness and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Provide comprehensive advice and support to line managers and employees on all aspects of employee relations, ensuring alignment with both employment law and company policies.
Coach and guide Managers on effectively addressing HR issues, fostering a culture of fair and consistent treatment of employees.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of employment legislations, particularly in areas such as contracts, terms and conditions, discrimination, maternity/paternity, dismissal processes, and grievances.
Deal with case management issues promptly and in accordance with legal requirements.
Keep abreast of changes in employment legislation and update procedures, policies, and the Employee Handbook to reflect best practices.
Collaborate with the L&D team to deliver workshops and to the wider business, enhancing HR knowledge and capability across the organisation.
Data management and analysis, including absence data, trends, Bradford Factor, attrition, and headcount reports, to inform strategic decision-making.
Assist in conducting exit interviews, highlighting trends and providing insights to enhance employee engagement and retention strategies.
Role Criteria
Proven experience working in a fast-paced HR environment with a focus on employee relations casework.
Strong understanding of employment law and regulations, with the ability to apply them in practical situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels of the organisation.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
