The role will identify and implement any service and procedure improvements, necessary within the service.The post holder will also ensure the Council’s housing allocation processes and procedures are correctly and effectively followed.Developing and initiating service improvements and leading on key priorities set out in the Homelessness Strategy is also a key part of this role.About youThe successful post holder must possess a minimum of 3 years working in housing advice/allocations or homelessness prevention along with, comprehensive knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 as amended by the Homelessness Act 2002, the Localism Act 2011 and the 2018 Homelessness Reduction Act, Codes of Guidance, and relevant housing case law.The post holder will also need to have experience of working on policy/strategy initiatives and implementation and have experience of successfully implementing a prevention and options approach in tackling the issue of homelessness.For an informal discussion please contact: Adrian Hammond, Housing Strategy & Homelessness Manager ##### 01303 853392.The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 12.00pm on Friday 17th May 2023.Interviews will take place on the 30th and 31st May.How to applyPlease apply online via the link provided below.
