Commercial Pricing & Revenue Manager x 1 About the job: Reporting to the Head of Commercial you will be accountable for the effective pricing and revenue management (RM) of the UK campsite network and all related products (c. 160 properties) in order to deliver the annual budgeted revenue.
You will influence and execute the pricing and revenue management strategies; will directly manage the Pricing and RM team (2 x FTEs) and be responsible for the end to end pricing/repricing and revenue management processes.
As part of your RM strategy, you will also be responsible for price-promotional planning, execution and reporting.
You will also be the product owner of key commercial systems, responsible for: the dynamic pricing Revenue Management System (SaaS); the promotions module within the Club’s reservation system/PMS; and Tableau BI reporting and associated data.
This is a senior position within the marketing department and as such you have the opportunity to both shape and execute strategy, adding real value to our organisation and membership customer base.
Whilst this position currently has two direct reports, the team is supported by two Commercial Analysts and two Finance Business Partners. Key Tasks/Accountabilities: Pricing up the UK campsite network and all associated products (c.160 properties), specifically touring and camping pitches, seasonal pitches and storage pitches. Ensuring prices are competitive and deliver required gross margins.
Employing all revenue management tools and tactics to proactively revenue manage UK campsites to deliver the budgeted revenue. This includes optimising yield, introducing effective price promotions, applying appropriate inventory fences and influencing marketing activities.
Planning, executing and measuring the performance of price promotions in order to optimise campsite utilisation and revenue, whilst improving member satisfaction and competitiveness.
Lead and manage the Pricing & Revenue Management team (currently 2 x direct reports), and the Commercial Analysis team (Currently 1x dotted line report).
Developing the Pricing and Revenue Management strategies in conjunction with team members, the Head of Commercial, and the Club’s Revenue Management System (SaaS) providers/consultants.
Own and develop the Revenue Management System (SaaS) product and the relationship with the external RMS provider as well as the promotional functionality within the PMS.
Provide, scope, build and deliver appropriate performance reports from BI and Revenue Management systems in order to revenue manage Club sites to deliver the required revenue budget.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in order to deliver responsibilities most effectively. Including holding trading planning discussions with finance, operations and marketing in order to influence activities and improve revenue outcomes.
Support the Commercial Accommodation team in estimating pricing of new campsite acquisition opportunities.
Providing accurate, relevant and timely revenue and occupancy performance forecasts and reports to the organisation (written, numerical and presentable formats).
The role of Senior Group Revenue, Pricing and Systems Manager may have access to Restricted and Confidential member, worker, volunteer and/or Club business data. This information must only be collected and processed in line with all regulations from the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority), the Data Protection Act and all Caravan Club policies and procedures. All types of data held by The Club are valuable and must be protected. Essential Skills & Experience Required:Core for role: Multiple years of Senior Revenue / Yield Management experience from within the travel arena. Successful revenue management of a large portfolio of properties will be of particular relevance.
Expert level understanding of Revenue Management best practices combined with the technical skills required to deliver an effective Revenue Management strategy, lead an RM team and deliver budgeted revenue.
Expert level of knowledge and utilisation of Revenue Management Systems (SaaS) and associated reporting tools including BI tools (such as Tableau, Qlik, or Business Object) and Microsoft Excel.
Expert level of Pricing experience, ideally from within the travel industry with strong knowledge of financial KPIs and profit drivers.
Expert level of understanding of the effective use and application of Promotions and the reporting of their success.
An experienced, excellent manager of people who provides clear guidance and coaching, shapes and improves processes, works with confidence and collaborates well with others.
Excellent analytical and reporting abilities. You will be highly confident in gathering, manipulating and analysing big data to reach appropriate recommendations.
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
Highly process driven and able to refine and improve existing processes.
Strong intellectual integrity - critical thinking and problem solving is a requirement.
Effectiveness and efficiency: you must have excellent organisational skills (self and team planning), high attention to detail, and be able to deliver at pace.

Willingness to travel as required around the UK to visit campsite properties.
Able to work within a multidisciplinary team. Technical Experience: Expert level Excel skills are an absolute must; comfortable gathering and using large data sets; very high level of knowledge of Excel formulae.
Expert level user experience of Revenue Management Systems (SaaS).
Expert knowledge of pricing structures and fare filing.
Expert level of experience in using BI reporting tools such as Tableau BI, Qlick, or Business Object.
Good verbal reasoning skills.
Experienced with Microsoft Office / Google suite of applications.
Knowledge of marketing, finance, accounting, valuation and metrics development.
Educated to an Bachelor Degree level or equivalent in Business, Finance, or Economics.
