Job Purpose
Support year-end financial statements and monthly management accounts reporting. Drive alignment between financial and management accounts, enhance group control environment, and support long-term contract accounting reviews.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review Group consolidated financial accounts and UK statutory accounts.
Develop technical accounting papers for year-end audit.
Prepare a few monthly management accounts.
Review long-term contracts in line with IFRS 15.
Support control environment testing.
Assist with covenant and stakeholder reports.
Handle ad hoc reporting tasks as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
Essential:
Qualified accountant (ICAEW, ICAS, or equivalent) with 2+ years post-qualification experience in a top ten accountancy firm.
Experience with consolidated management reporting, large multi-currency group consolidations, and meeting tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills, financial literacy, and commercial awareness.
Analytical, detail-oriented, and flexible.
Desirable:
Experience in the engineering or construction industry.
