Working as a core member of our Geotechnical engineering team, you will work on a range of offshore renewables and oil and gas projects. This will include conceptual and detailed foundation designs, analysis of offshore design projects, and contributing to R&D initiatives.

What you will be doing
Assist or lead geotechnical engineering projects for our clients within agreed timeframe, costs, and quality standards.
Undertake geotechnical design and evaluation of offshore structures and foundations.
Contribute to business development activity by preparing tenders and proposals.
Collaborate with the other geoscience departments or disciplines of ABL Group on other offshore renewable projects.
This position will be based in the UK and we are able to base it from any of our UK offices: London, Southampton, Exeter, Newcastle or Dundee. We offer hybrid and remote working.
What we are looking for
Ideally, you will be an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with a background of working on either offshore or onshore civil engineering projects. More specifically, we are looking for the following:
Educated to degree level in Civil Engineering or a relevant geotechnical degree.
Proven experience working within an engineering consultancy environment.
Experience of undertaking advanced geotechnical analysis and delivering geotechnical solutions.
Knowledge of the design of foundation types for fixed and floating offshore wind and cable engineering is beneficial.
Experience in preparing scopes of work for engineering design, cost estimates, and schedules.
Experience with any of the following software is desirable: GIS, Visual Basic and Matlab, gINT, SlopeW, GRL WEAP, Opile, Allpile or Lpile, Oasys Alp, and Finite Element Analysis.
