Senior Geo-environmental Engineer
 
 
Our client is a geo-environmental consultancy providing solutions to a varied client base, including developers, house builders, distillers, local authorities, consulting engineers and other professionals across the UK.
 
The team offers a range of services related to the investigation, remediation, and validation of proposed development sites. This vacancy is an exciting opportunity for someone keen to take a 'hands-on' approach to the day-to-day running of projects. As a senior, the successful candidate will be able to work largely independently and work on more complex sites and a greater range of work.
 
Responsibilities of the role:
·Desk studies
·Organising site works and setting out (though in a lesser capacity, and more training of junior staff)
·Testing schedules (independently)
·Collating SI reports, and reviewing junior staff reports before being passed to PM/team leader
·Supporting validation works (to a much lesser extent)
·Attending client meetings - running meetings, sometimes with support.
·Council/Peer Review comments
·Quoting for works (limited basis)
·Involvement in team finances (limited basis)
·Organising training events for staff
·Progressing with CPD of specialist skills and Chartership
·Assisting Principle Engineer with team management and working closely with graduates and engineers.
