As a Full Stack Engineer at TourHero, you will play a key role in building our social travel platform. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing features, creating efficient and scalable backend systems, and developing high-quality frontend experiences. You'll work closely with the product and design teams to bring our vision to life and create delightful user experiences.
Responsibilities:
Develop, and maintain web applications and APIs using modern web technologies
Collaborate with product managers and designers to define, design, and implement new features
Write efficient, clean, and reusable code that can be easily maintained and scaled
Optimize performance and user experience across different devices and platforms
Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and documentation
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and continuously improve your knowledge and skills
Work in an Agile development environment, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Contribute to the overall architecture and technical direction of the platform
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a full stack engineer or similar role
Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails is mandatory
Strong proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as web standards and accessibility
Experience with databases and data modeling
Knowledge of software engineering best practices including version control, testing methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous deployment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment is a major advantage.
Passion for travel and a deep understanding of the travel industry is a plus
This position is an on-site position in London, near Moorgate Station. 4 days in office and 1 day work from home.
