Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management.In this role, a typical day will include:• Responsibility for various financial functions such as cost accounting, revenue recognition, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, EAC development, AP invoice and AR billing reviews, purchase requisition reviews, proposal pricing support, CDRL support, other program requested ad hoc reporting and other analysis as required for assigned programs and new business opportunities within the sub-sector.• Preparation, analysis, and input of revenue, cost and investment totals for monthly outlook, quarterly forecast, and annual strategic plans for assigned programs (in collaboration with program management team).• Providing monthly variance analysis and opportunity and risk assessments.• Preparation and analysis of various financials for monthly close process.• Interface and collaboration with program management staff and other business leaders on a regular basis.• Leading the creation of financial monthly business review information for assigned programs to provide insight into the business.• Reviewing and understanding contract terms and support job setup and modifications in financial database (Oracle).• Collection, review, and reconciliation of financial data from various sources and financial systems.• Creation, maintenance, and updating of financial databases and spreadsheets, and generates various financial reports as required.• Analysis of assigned contracts’ projected staff hours, contract totals, revenues, and profit totals.• Supporting assigned managers in managing, tracking, monitoring, and reporting financial data as requested.• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as other government regulations.• Maintaining current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:● Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related business discipline, or 4+ additional years of experience in lieu of a degree● Required Experience: 5+ years of related financial analysis experience● Required Skills: Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, vlookups, etc)Experience in Government ContractingExperience with multiple contract types (Fixed Price, Fixed Unit Price, T&M and/or Cost Type Contracts)Forecasting skills with the ability to understand the impact of business decisions on P&L● Due to the nature of the work performed and the privileged user access for this position, U.S. Citizenship is required.● Preferred Skills: • Oracle experience•

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
