The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the UK Finance Team and will be responsible for Order-to-cash and the Record-to-Report processes including month and year end closing and annual audit support for the UK operating entity and the UK Holding entity.Reporting to the European Financial Controller you will demonstrate capability in two core finance activities:financial accounting and reporting as it relates to closing processes and reconciliationsorder to cash process from invoicing to cash collection (around 100 invoices a month)To achieve this, you’ll be supervising an assistant accountant, currently focused on accounts payables and bank reconciliations. You will be maintaining the financial records for our two UK entities using Sage Intacct. You will be the key point of contact for the annual audits (local and group), UK tax assessments and other ad-hoc assignments.This role is a key member of a highly motivated team who enjoy using data and numbers to generate insights and improve our business. The successful candidate will be comfortable communicating with colleagues of all levels across all functions. As such, this an exciting and unique opportunity to be involved at a critical period of change in shaping the functions future.LocationBlackfriars, London (hybrid, min. three days per week in the office – Tues, Weds, Thurs)ResponsibilitiesMonthly & Annual closing (Record-to-Report):Working closely with the European Financial Controller, you will develop and implement processes that support and deliver best practice accounting activities (for example, automation of journal entries)Prepare and book monthly journal entries (including payroll), review all transactions and provide commentary on recurring activities along with one-off adjustments.End-to-end ownership of the preparation and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts. Verify and investigate reconciliation discrepancies, if any, and identify improvements in order to ensure validity of the accounts.Ensure the documentation of the monthly closing is done on a timely basisReconcile and review of Inter-company balances between the other entities in the groupOrder to cash process:Own the order-to-cash process including invoicing and revenue recognition. This will require working closely with the Partner group across the UK business to ensure clients are proactively managed in accordance with the engagement terms and understanding the contract requirementsPlay a role to ensure our project management system (Scoro) is always up to date and information related to projects is accurate – work closely with project managers to achieve thisTake ownership in managing and collecting debts of external clients - emails, calls, procurement platforms etc… responsible to manage the DSOProvide revenue input to assist in the FP&A team in monthly revenue forecastManagement:Provide direct support and supervision to the assistant accountant to ensure our procure-to-pay processes are best practice and meeting our working capital objectivesProvide direction to the assistant accountant, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met Other activities:Provide accurate input to assist the European Financial Controller in cash flow forecastPlay a key role in supporting the European Financial Controller with all aspects of annual audit, tax and regulatory activities.Member of the global financial controller team responsible for ensuring alignment, consistency, and best practice finance outcomes globallyActive participant in the implementation and ongoing improvement of all finance related systems across DGA.Other adhoc activities as directed by the Group Financial Controller and European Financial Controller.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, working within a finance team of a complex business.Undergraduate degree in accounting and/or related discipline.Evidence of ongoing study and continuous personnel development.Experience working in a professional services or similar global business.Experience in UK GAAP and preferably IFRS/US GAAPWhat We Offer25 days annual leaveOpt-in company paid private healthcare and dental insuranceTravel insuranceFree breakfastand subsidised canteenCycle to work schemeEmployee Assistance ProgramLife AssuranceIncome ProtectionContributory pension schemeHealth and wellness benefitsHybrid workingEnhanced family friendly leaveAbout UsDentons Global Advisors (DGA) is an expert-led advisory firm that provides integrated solutions for clients in an increasingly complex, regulated, and interconnected business environment.
