The Role:
This role will oversee two UK manufacturing facilities, based out of the European Head Quarters in Scotland.

You will be responsible for managing the site finance teams, collaborating with the site MD, providing sound financial analysis and advice, and will also work closely with the corporate team in the US.

You will also be involved in assisting with ad-hoc projects across the business.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, administer, and evaluate an adequate plan for the control of operations. Such a plan provides gross profit planning, production forecasts, manufacturing, variance and material budgets, cost standards, savings opportunities, and capital investing, together with the necessary controls and procedures to execute the plan.
  • Lead, develop and manage an efficient and effective UK finance team to ensure they make a full contribution to the company's objectives.
  • Monitor inventory levels and advise management on inventory-related issues and variances.
  • Safeguard the Company's inventory and capital assets.
  • Create meaningful visualizations of data to review with executive management.
  • Monitor, interpret and implement new financial accounting and reporting pronouncements.
  • Maintain accounting policies.
  • Review monthly and quarterly journal entries.
  • Review the monthly cash flow analysis for financial reporting. Review weekly cash flow projections for discussion with Corporate Finance.
  • Review statutory financial statements on an annual basis.
  • Participate in special projects and/or other ad-hoc assignments.
  • Interact with external and internal auditors.
  • To lead and develop both your teams, and the individuals within the team, through coaching, mentoring, leadership and communication skills, utilising effective Position Descriptions, active Performance Management and documented Training Plans.

Requirements

  • A progressive Finance career in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a leadership role with a track record of success and desire to continue growth.
  • Experience of working in a global matrix style structure, understanding the demands, and needs of various functions and how to prioritise tasks.
  • ACCA or CIMA - Bachelors degree in Accounting would be beneficial.
  • Be able to adapt your leadership style to suit individual team members and business circumstances, and able to empower, coach and mentor to get the best out of them.
  • A clear communicator, who is able to present to all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong attention to detail & time management.
  • Some travel will be required in this role, so flexibility is required.
