We are currently working with a leading Staffing and Recruitment company who are looking for a Senior Finance Assistant to join their Central London team. dedicated to providing exceptional services to our clients. With a focus on excellence and innovation, they are seeking a skilled Senior Finance Assistant specializing in payroll to join their dynamic finance team. Position Overview: As a Senior Finance Assistant, you will be the payroll specialist within their finance department, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for their employees. This role requires a high level of expertise in payroll management, strong Excel skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and company policies. Manage payroll queries and discrepancies effectively, providing timely and accurate resolutions. Ensure all payroll transactions are processed correctly, including salaries, bonuses, overtime, and deductions. Calculate and process statutory payments such as PAYE, NI, and pensions. Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to management and external agencies as required. Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in compliance with GDPR regulations. Assist with month-end and year-end payroll procedures. Requirements: Proven experience in a similar payroll and management accounting-focused role, preferably within the professional services or recruitment sector. Excellent understanding of payroll processes, legislation, and regulations. Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and complex formulas. Strong numerical and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Sage, ADP) is advantageous. Relevant qualifications in payroll administration or accounting are desirable.
