An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Family Support Practitioner to join our team based at Elizabeth House in Dereham.
If you have experience of working with children and families and have a passion for supporting them in affecting sustained change, then we would like to hear from you.
The Family Support Team are seeking an experienced practitioner who can manage a complex caseload of Tier 3 cases, whilst also offering supervision and peer support to the team and the Team Managers. You will be mentoring and modelling best practice to Family Practitioners to achieve effective change, embed best practice and maintain standards.
We will be able to offer you a friendly and supportive working environment where learning and development is promoted through the support of an experienced management group.
Family Support encompasses the work of a broad range of partners supporting families and individuals during often challenging and difficult times. Much of this work, although not exclusively, is undertaken in partnership with others. Family Support is the targeted end of Early Help for services operating at the edge of more intensive and or statutory services.
Our practitioners provide support to families with the most complex needs, whose situations without targeted intervention will escalate to become acute, chronic and result in the child/young person and their family requiring social care or other statutory intervention. You will undertake direct work with children and their families, working within statutory legislation and delivering interventions prioritised by the line manager.
If you require more information and would like an informal conversation, please contact Team Manager, Betternow Bvekerwa, on 01603 223992 or #####
