A well-established and leading manufacturing company based in the Pickering area are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance/Facilities Engineer with a mechanical bias, to join the business.In this position, you will be part of an autonomous and proactive engineering team. The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:Provide mechanical expertise to the site.Undertake repairs to site / plant equipment.Involvement with new equipment to siteUndertake general / minor modifications to site.To be an active member of any facilities project activitiesTo undertake inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair to mechanical equipment on site.Liaise with contractors where necessary.Install or be involved with installation of new equipmentImprove facilities and site equipment as part of wider facilities teamCarry out reactive and proactive maintenance of site machinery, equipment, and systems to minimise downtime, optimise performance and maximise safetyIn return, the successful Maintenance Engineer will be part of a business that recognises talent and skill and will always promote from within where possible. I am really keen to see your CV if you are a time served Maintenance Engineer, qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical, BTEC level 3 in engineering. Has awareness and understanding of key legislative and safety requirements within the engineering field and the ability to work well under pressure and be assertive when making decisions to keep things moving smoothly. Ideally, you will be able to think on your feet and be a creative and diligent Maintenance Engineer. This role is Monday to Friday days only role with a 1pm finish on a Friday.
