Are you passionate about advancing your career in the Events sector? We are seeking a Senior Events Executive to join our client, a prominent Charity organisation located in Leeds. As a key member of their dedicated events team, you will have the opportunity to lead and oversee the planning and execution of a variety of significant fundraising events in the region. Collaborating closely with the Events Manager, Head of Events, and CEO, you will gain invaluable exposure across the organisation, with ample room for professional growth and the assumption of greater responsibilities as you progress in your role.

We are ideally looking for candidates with existing Events experience with exposure to complex planning and operations, complemented by a diverse skill set including resilience, organisation, and stakeholder management ability. We are looking for an adaptable individual, willing to offer flexibility to fulfil the needs of a busy but rewarding role.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Events Executive:

As a Senior Events Executive, you will have a pivotal role in the planning and delivery of diverse events, from corporate dinners and balls to challenge and sport events. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:

  • Having delegated responsibility for a number of charity fundraising events, taking ownership of these end-to-end.
  • Plan and assist with the delivery of events from concept to execution.
  • Building stakeholder relationships with, e.g., venues and suppliers, attendees, corporate partners, committees etc.
  • Work alongside marketing to develop event-related materials and social campaigns, including copy, content, advertising, collateral.
  • Manage all associated administrative tasks, including mail merges, budget management, maintaining guest information.
  • Assisting in the coordination of seasonal campaigns, such as Easter and Christmas.
  • Managing ticket sales, encompassing telephone and online bookings, data entry, invoicing, payment processing, and ticket dispatch.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

To excel in this role, you will have a proactive nature and thrive in a fast-paced environment where each day presents new challenges. Whether you come with extensive Events experience or a similar transferrable background, your enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and commitment to the charity's mission are paramount.

Additional skills and attributes include:

  • Demonstrated experience in event planning is essential, ideally 2+ years, with a genuine passion for the sector.
  • Drive, ambition, and a proactive approach to taking initiative within your role.
  • Capacity for continuous learning and readiness to support the team with additional responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong command of spelling, grammar, and research abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, coupled with a professional and positive demeanour towards stakeholders, beneficiaries, and colleagues.
  • Effective communication skills, enabling seamless interaction with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including committee members, colleagues, beneficiaries, external suppliers, and event support staff.
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit conducive to thriving in a close-knit office environment.
