Senior Estimator

Fawkes & Reece South are working with a regional contractor that works in collaboration with local authorities and private clients. They are a principal contractor that self-deliver on projects that are worth between £2m and £8m. They are seeking a Senior Estimator to join their busy preconstruction team that tenders on projects that have a scope of works that includes s278 works, road construction, flood alleviation schemes, bridges, structures and other infrastructure.The role is suitable for an Estimator looking for the opportunity to step into a senior role or an established Senior Estimator that'll work with the senior management. You will report directly to the Operations Director and your duties will include (but not limited to):Assessments of potential projects all prior to tender reviews and submission of quotationsPreparing tender documents (Take- Offs from drawings & Bill of Quantities)Dealing with sub contract quotationsManaging the production of the tender costs in consultation with the project planner, design manager and bid manager allocated to the projectAttending pre-let and post tender interviews to discuss potential value engineering optionsHandover of successful tender information such that the site teams are suitably briefed Requirements including certificates and qualifications:Experience using Causeway or any other estimating packages would be advantageousGood understanding of first principlesExperience tendering on civil engineering or infrastructure projectsPrevious experience having worked as an Estimator Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UKThe successful candidate will be rewarded with an outstanding working environment, opportunities to progress whatever stage of your career as well as a package that gives you security and recognises your contribution to the business.If you are interested in this role, please contact Malvin at Fawkes & Reece Southampton or use the link below
