Senior Estimator role within a well-established and well-regarded facades contractor based in Kent.
They have been established in this market place for over 50 years and specialise in the design, engineering, manufacturing, installation and maintenance of architectural glazing solutions. This includes unitised and stick cladding, roof glazing systems, pointed and structural glazing and rain screen cladding on commercial, education, residential and public buildings up to £15 million.
An exciting opportunity to work within a large, financially stable specialist contractor who are looking for an outgoing and forward-thinking individual wanting to take on a significant role within the estimating team.
Requirements for the role include:
Assessment of incoming quotations for suitability/value
Meetings with client/architect/consultant
Full take off and detailed pricing
Preparation of tender documents
Development of internal processes and estimating tools
Requirements
Candidates require the following as a minimum:
3 years+ in estimating roles within the glazing/fenestration industry
Knowledge in Aluminium glazing systems
Knowledge of Orgadata/Logikal/ReynaPro type estimating packages of glazing types and specifications
Understanding of Excel and other Microsoft Office based products
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Other beneficial attributes include:
Knowledge of acoustics, Security requirements, barrier/wind loadings, understanding of structural considerations
Willingness to learn about new products and techniques
