The Role: Senior Estimator
As a Senior Estimator at Bethell Construction, your responsibilities will include preparing analytical estimates from first principles for work-winning tender bids. You will review tender information, assess work scope, take off accurate quantities, and compile comprehensive enquiries for subcontractors and resources. It is essential to utilize all available tender information to ensure clarity and accuracy. You will also delegate tasks to other Estimating team members and submit bids in compliance with ITT instructions, addressing all aspects of the tender professionally.
Essential Skills & Experience
Educational Background: HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or related field
Experience: Minimum 5 years in estimating practice, with a focus on Civil Engineering disciplines such as water, wastewater, highways, and groundworks.
On-Site Experience: Minimum 5 years in a water/wastewater utility organization
Software Proficiency: Excellent skills in estimating software like Valesco, Causeway, Conquest, or Candy
Financial and Commercial Management: Proven skills in financial and commercial management
Knowledge: Good working knowledge of CESMM, HWMM, SMM7, and NEC forms of Contract
