Taylor Stevenson is proud to be working with an amazing interior design company based in Sheffield who are on the lookout for their next Senior Estimator. In this role, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our projects from start to finish, by preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough site surveys and analyze project specifications.
Identify and manage potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and subcontractors.
Negotiate with subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Prepare tenders, material take-offs, and final project costs.
Collaborate with internal teams (project delivery, procurement) and external stakeholders (clients, contractors).
Utilize strong organizational and communication skills to keep everyone informed.
Skills required:
Experience in preparing cost estimates for construction.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction estimating software (a plus).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and a dedication to exceeding client expectations.
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Salary: £50k
