Senior Estimator

Talented Estimator required on a permanent or freelance basis We are working alongside a successful London based building contractor, with offices in the North West London area. They have had a massive increase in tender enquires over the course of the last 18 months and are keen to recruit a talented Intermediate or Senior Estimator. The contractor specialises in the high end residential sector, tendering for both new build and refurbishment schemes £3m – £20m in value. Our client’s business model is extremely well managed, with a reputation for producing a quality project on time and budget, which results in a large amount of repeat business. The Estimator will be involved in the preparation and tender return of quantified tenders from specifications / drawings or bill of quantities, completing prequalification’s questionnaires as well as attending pre tender meeting and internal handover meetings The Estimator’s key duties: Prepare annotated computerised schedules and Bills of Quantities from clients Specification and drawings Prepare and price tenders from either clients or own prepared Bill of quantities Prepare and send out material enquiries Analysis of suppliers quotations To liaise with Clients / Suppliers as required during the tender process The Estimator will be expected to liaise with the site team during the preparation of the Handover and distribution of tender documents on secured projects. Sub or Main contracting background Experienced in cut and carve refurbishment tendering Capable of preparing BoQ’s from specifications and drawings Familiar with computerised estimating software The Estimator will be joining a successful team environment with a genuine opportunity to progress into bid management.
