Boden Group are working with a brilliant Property Services organisation who are looking for a Senior Estimator to join their team.Job Title: Senior Estimator - Social Housing Refurbishment ProjectsHybrid role based in KentJoin a vibrant and purpose-driven organisation. Their mission is to be the partner and employer of choice for designing, building, maintaining, and connecting communities and critical infrastructure.Position Overview: As a Senior Estimator within the Refurbishment team, you'll be an integral part of our growth trajectory. We're looking for an experienced professional who can manage tenders for social housing refurbishment projects, partnerships, and frameworks. Your role will involve leading the production of competitive tenders and submissions to support our business strategy across varying market sectors.Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with HSE&Q standards, operating processes, company policies, and legislative requirements.
* Lead the quantitative aspects of tenders, PQQ, and bid submissions, overseeing team members' work.
* Collaborate closely with commercial and operations teams to develop integrated tender solutions.
* Assess contract conditions, quantify risks, and offer workable solutions.
* Prepare tender documentation, pricing information, and builders quantities.
* Develop cost models and predicted life cycle costs, analyzing market benchmarks and internal data.
* Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, supply chain members, and external partners.
* Participate in meetings such as mobilization, handover, design, and bid meetings.
* Continuously improve departmental procedures and systems.
* Manage team responsibilities, including performance reviews and employee-related matters.
* Undertake professional development activities to stay updated with industry developments.Qualifications:
* Relevant Degree or equivalent qualification.
* Experience in Quantity Surveyor or Estimator.
* Proven track record of winning profitable work.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Estimating Software Packages.
* Good understanding of business development and the bidding marketplace.
* Strong project management and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
