BAM Ritchies Senior Estimator Position
BAM Ritchies is seeking an enthusiastic geotechnical professional to join our work-winning team as a Senior Estimator. This role will involve working on a variety of projects ranging from complex major projects to small-scale ground engineering jobs, providing ample opportunities for problem-solving and professional growth.
As part of the Geotechnical preconstruction team, you will have the support of your colleagues while also enjoying the freedom to work independently and manage your own time effectively.
Your Work Environment
You will be based at our Nailsea office in Somerset and may need to travel occasionally to sites/client offices for work-winning meetings. BAM operates a flexible working policy.
Your Mission
As a Senior Estimator, your responsibilities will include:
Taking ownership of opportunities from receipt of the enquiry to handover with the delivery team
Collaborating with in-house engineering and delivery teams to develop tender proposals
Participating in Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) stages of prospective projects
Design coordination on D&B contracts
Estimating works and producing work-winning tender submissions
Presenting geotechnical solutions to potential clients
Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:
Minimum 5 years of experience in the specialist ground engineering field
Solid understanding of geotechnical principles
Previous experience in estimating piling/slope stabilisation/ground anchoring/grouting packages
Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines
Strong communication skills for interactions with colleagues, clients, external consultants, and industry professionals
Experience in estimating from first principles
