A major UK Tier 1 building contractor who are known as a real market leader in their field, delivering new build construction projects in the public, private and regulated sectors.

Due to natural expansion, the organisation has a requirement for an experienced Senior Estimator to join them on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a real household name in the industry to work on a prestigious contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Directors by managing and preparing accurate tenders from first principles


• Develop the skills required to input estimates into the Clients estimating models


• Actively engage and develop long term relationships with key supply chain organisations


• Interacting with the wider business including Procurement and Engineering to maximise offering


• Constructively challenging the supply chain to achieve the optimum solutions


• Developing innovative approaches where appropriate enhance our negotiated position


• Identify opportunities for margin growth


• Participate in post project reviews and audits


• Manage the successful handover of estimates to delivery teams following successful Client negotiation and agreement


• Maintain awareness of current health, safety and environmental requirements and changes


• Collate targeted feedback on successful projects and provide feedback for future bids


• Establish and maintain data base of key relevant cost data

The successful candidate will be passionate and committed to delivering excellence.

If you are an experienced building or civil engineering estimator with sound technical capabilities backed up by a relevant engineering qualification such as an HNC, HND or degree then this exciting opportunity could be for you.
