Senior Estimator - Facades Leading UK Sub-ContractorKent based office£60,000 - £80,000 & packageSenior Estimator role within a well-established and well-regarded facades contractor based in Kent. They have been established in this market place for over 50 years and specialise in the design, engineering, manufacturing, installation and maintenance of architectural glazing solutions. This includes unitised and stick cladding, roof glazing systems, pointed and structural glazing and rain screen cladding on commercial, education, residential and public buildings up to £15 million.An exciting opportunity to work within a large, financially stable specialist contractor who are looking for an outgoing and forward-thinking individual wanting to take on a significant role within the estimating team.Requirements for the role include all aspects of estimating including:Assessment of incoming enquiries for suitability and riskAnalysis of any potential technical issues including liaising with relevant consultants, architects and clients to bring to a successful conclusionPreparation and submission of subcontract and material enquiries and assessment of incoming quotations for suitability/valueAttend/conduct meetings with client/architect/consultantCarry out full take off and detailed pricingAssess and price preliminary items and access equipment required to carry out a successful contractSubmit fully prepared tender documents to clients including Bills of Quantity, clarifications, inclusions and exclusions and supporting documentationNegotiation of costs and proposals including any value engineering work to successful completion and awarding of project.Conduct detailed hand over meetings with internal staff and contracts teamCarry out Budget costs when requiredBuilding positive and lasting relationships with clients to establish new and repeat businessOngoing development of internal processes and estimating toolsProduction of analytical documents for presentation to the management/sales team Requirements Candidates require the following as a minimum:5 years+ in estimating roles within the glazing/fenestration industryWorking knowledge in Aluminium glazing systemsWorking knowledge of Orgadata/Logikal/ReynaPro type estimating packagesUnderstanding of glazing types and specificationsThorough understanding of Excel and other Microsoft Office based productsAbility to work under pressure and to tight deadlines both within a team or work independentlyGood time management and organizational skillsProfessional attitude as a representative of the company including excellent communication skills Other beneficial attributes:Experience with other façade work including Rainscreen, pressed metalwork etc.Working knowledge of acoustics, Security requirements, barrier/wind loadings, understanding of structural considerations etc.Experience with other aluminium based systems and PVCu windowsA willingness to learn about new products and techniques If you would like to hear more about this role please apply now
