Senior Estimator - Concrete Strengthening

Senior Estimator Overview
Ensure all tender correspondence is recorded andlogged
Review contents of tender documentation and provide feasibilityadvice
Co-ordinate the tender preparation documents submitted by other departments, ensuring that they adequately address the client's requirements
Ensure estimates for work take adequate account of applicable legislation and recognised industry standards on HSQE
Prepare all necessary information on the technical and commercial aspects for submission
Identify potential opportunity/risk and evaluate options
Prepare bills of quantities/schedule of rates for tender applications and 1st principal estimates
Prepare and submit tender queries/clarifications
Prepare and submit subcontract enquiries in line with companyprocesses
Review subcontract tender submissions for compliance and inclusion into theestimate
Monitor contract compliance against statutory requirements.
Senior Estimator Requirements
Preparing detailed cost budgets and estimates forprojects
Preparing detailed proposals ensuring client guidelines and specifications are adheredto
Ensure all proposals and estimate deadlines aremet
Maintain relationships with existing clients to maximise customersatisfaction
Maintain records of all estimation documentation including site assessment and contractterms
Experience managing Juniorestimators
Costmanagement
Reportwriting
Knowledge of concrete preservation andrepair
ITliteracy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint andEmail
Verbal and written communicationskills
Health&safetyknowledge
Concrete repairs and geotechnical tenderbackground (desirable)
Network Rail/Highways England tenderbackground (desirable)
Concrete repair estimatingexperience (desirable)
Senior Estimator Remuneration
Competitive Salary - up to £65,000.00
