Are you an experienced Estate Surveyor looking for a rewarding opportunity to contribute to your local community? We have an exciting role available with a respected local authority in London.
As an Estate Surveyor within our local authority, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing our property portfolio across London. You will conduct property inspections, manage leases, negotiate acquisitions and disposals, and provide expert advice on property-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Maximize revenue through strategic property lettings and identify new income opportunities.
Monitor lease agreements to protect the Council's interests and ensure compliance.
Assist in minimizing dilapidation claims against the Council through proactive measures.
Identify and pursue commercial opportunities to enhance income streams and add value.
Provide valuable support for major regeneration projects and participate in complex negotiations.
Offer strategic housing advice to the Council to facilitate informed decision-making.
Provide expert advice on estate management for third-party occupancies.
Collaborate on initiatives to reduce carbon footprint within the estate.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Estate Surveyor or similar role within the public sector or local government.
In-depth knowledge of property legislation, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive stakeholder relationships.
