Senior Engineering Consultant

We are very excited to be working alongside an award-winning business based in Cambridgeshire who are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer Consultant to join the team.  Joining the current team to bring your existing experience and expertise within Mechanical Engineering to drive new business opportunities, manage and oversee current and new projects while also supporting the development of other team members. This is a full-time permanent position on a hybrid basis.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Develop existing and new partner relationships to drive new business opportunities.


• Take ownership of leading new project development plans and programmes.


• Continually deliver against client and company objectives.


• Take ownership of both the detail and design mechanical components for mass volume manufacturing.


• Provide technical leadership across different engineering departments with a focus on the mechanical engineering department.


• Lead teams on idea concept through to device production

The Successful candidate will have:

• Highly experienced with Solidworks and Pro E.


• Highly experienced with team and people development and managing direct reports.


• Exceptional communicational skills and a strong business acumen.


• Experienced with managing high volume and high-speed appliance/device assembly processes.


• Experienced with electromechanical systems.


• Experienced with ISO’s such as 13485, 14971, 21CFR Part 820.


• Experienced with medical devices.
