Responsibilities:
Development & Deployment: Develop scalable and maintainable web applications using Elixir, Phoenix, and LiveView.
Frontend Development: Work on user interfaces, ensuring responsive designs and optimal user experience. Proficiency with CSS frameworks, especially Tailwind.
Data Visualisation: Design, develop, and implement intuitive data visualisations that help customers make data-driven decisions.
Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure consistent code quality.
Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to ensure optimal application performance.
Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver feature releases and application updates.
Mentoring: Share expertise with junior members of the team, providing guidance and mentorship to foster their growth.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in Elixir, Phoenix development, and frontend technologies.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, with ideally 3 years focused on Elixir.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Elixir, Phoenix, LiveView, and other associated technologies. Strong skills in CSS and hands-on experience with the Tailwind CSS framework.
Data Visualisation: Experience or familiarity with data visualisation libraries or tools such as D3.js, HighCharts, or any Elixir-specific tools will be highly advantageous.
Databases: Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with real-time web applications.
Experience working in start-ups or small teams, embodying an agile mindset, and often wearing multiple hats to deeply engage with all facets of product development.
Knowledge of other programming languages and frameworks.
Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS.
Experience crafting modern and intuitive user interfaces, with a deep understanding of CSS and proficiency in frameworks like Tailwind.
