Job title: Senior Engineer - Site Engineering AuthorityLocation: Barrow-In-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.Salary: From £38,734+ depending on skills and experience What you'll be doing:Creating through life asset management plans defining fit for purpose maintenance strategies and prioritised investment demands to enable the site assets to deliver its strategic objectivesProviding independent Engineering Authority across all Site & Facilities Assets for any breaches or potential breaches of Regulatory or internal SHE arrangementsProviding technical engineering advice & support to the maintenance, operations & project teamsProducing / approving engineering functional requirements, accepting design solution, maintaining engineering oversight, validating engineering integrity, protecting & maintaining engineering baseline for all projects on Site & Facilities assetsYour skills and experiences:Essential:Minimum HNC level education in a STEM related subject or equivalent engineering, maintenance, or operational experienceProfessional engineering background with good understanding of key legal obligations for managing facilities & assetsExperience in managing complex stakeholder relationshipsExperience in managing scopes of work to challenging schedulesDesirable:An understanding of Asset Management principlesBenefits:You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. At BAE Systems Barrow-In-Furness, due to growth we are expanding and developing our site facilities to accommodate a new fleet of MoD Submarines. Joining a newly-formed team of site engineers, you will help to ensure that Barrow's Infrastructure services and assets (such as utilities, telecoms, transport and security etc) are safe, legal and compliant. You'll achieve this by providing oversight, governance and independent site engineering assurance to all future Engineering activities and systematically reviewing existing arrangements.Why BAE Systems?
