A highly respected multi-disciplinary consultancy, home to a dedicated team of exceptional industry experts, requires a Senior Civil Engineer / Senior Structural Engineer to join their infrastructure engineering division and work on rail projects.In this exciting role, the Senior Rail Engineer will work on a range of interesting projects, such as bridge design and renewals, AFA schemes and station developments.Responsibilities:Production of civil / structural engineering designs for rail schemes, covering column repairs, bridge strengthening and refurbishment, footbridges and stationsProvide engineering support and advice to colleagues and the wider teamEstablish project programme, scope and budgetPrepare and check engineering calculations, reports, specifications and RAMSEnsure adherence to design standardsCarry out design reviewsRequirements:Experience as a Civil / Structural Engineer, ideally within the rail sectorAt or approaching Chartered / Incorporated statusStrong background in the design of civils / structures in the rail industryExperience reviewing and checking designs, in addition to multi-disciplinary coordinationClient-facingKnowledge of British engineering standards, as well as those of Network Rail, Eurocodes and CDM regulationsExperience using structural analysis software, such as LUSAS, MIDAS, SuperStress, Robot, S-frame 3D, Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla TeddsSkilled in the use of Microsoft OfficeThis is a fantastic chance to join a growing, award-winning consultancy with plenty of opportunities for career development and progression.
