If you are open-minded, willing to learn and passionate about building software using great engineering practices then we want to talk to you.These new teams will be using a variety of tech stacks and working with code, data, and configuration to rapidly deploy capabilities across EMEA markets to fill critical market needs using an inner source model. The Senior Engineers will be experienced in leading teams of software engineers and have a curiosity for diving into new codebases and working in a variety of technologies to power and protect the growth of our International Card Services business.When considering whether an Engineer is a great fit for our team, we won’t focus solely on languages used or experience, but their ability to think creatively, approach problems with an intelligent mindset, and above all their passion to Make Stuff Happen! Find your place in technology on #TeamAmex.How will you make an impact in this role?Lead an engineering team in delivering features with a focus on quality, predictability and throughputBe comfortable working in a nimble, agile environment which embraces uncertainty and evolving requirementsCollaborate with engineering leads from other teams to align on design and contribution guidelinesProvide ownership of engineering challenges and drive them through to a positive outcomeEnsure our solutions are testable, intuitive and easy to maintainDrive good engineering principles, patterns, and practicesBe an advocate for great developer experienceParticipate in design and code reviewsCelebrate team achievements and failuresParticipate in hackathons, paid 5 days of self-development, innovation and product roadshows Minimum Qualifications:Experienced leader with the ability to mentor and guide a team of engineers Proven track record of delivering great software solutionsDepth of knowledge and ability to demonstrate hands-on coding in at least one language from Java, Kotlin, Go and PythonApplication design, software development, and testing experience in an agile environmentExcited by learning and experimenting with new languages and technology and translating this into working softwareWilling to take risks and share fresh perspectivesSelf-directed and able to work in an ambiguous environment through the innovation processValues collaboration and puts team interests firstContributions to open source/inner source projects is a plusQualificationsWe back our colleagues and their loved ones with benefits and programs that support their holistic well-being.
