Here at SRG we are proud to be exclusively supporting this leading energy consultancy on their search for a Senior Energy Transition Consultant. Through a range of different methods, this company's aim is the help business get closer to net zero and beyond.

As a Senior Energy Transition Consultant, you will be part of the Technical Consulting team; responsible for delivering technical advisory services to clients across all sectors. There will be focus on energy efficiency, renewable energy and building service solutions that contribute positively toward decarbonisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct onsite feasibility studies or plant and process to identify opportunities for energy, carbon and cost savings.
  • Interrogate individual systems and develop innovative solutions to deliver optimisation and decarbonisation outcomes.
  • Develop technical reports and investment grade business cases including fully costed scope 1 and 2 reduction pathways over short to long term time horizons; backed up with detailed impact forecasts covering energy, emissions and cost reductions.
  • Undertake data analysis including detailed trend and exception analysis of high frequency data to explain inefficiencies and model impact of proposed interventions.
  • Align scope 1 and scope 2 reduction programs with wider Net Zero transition plans produced by Net Zero team.
  • Advise clients on new decarbonisation technologies, ensuring proposed solutions incorporate the latest thinking on integrated systems and "single pane of glass" through Business Intelligence (BI) applications.
  • Contribute to presales activities including new business meetings, site surveys, scope development and sales efforts, as well as thought leadership through written papers.
  • Support the development of the Consulting team, including resources & capabilities, systems, processes and innovation in line with the overall objectives.
  • Development of consistent methodologies for feasibility studies, technology reviews (including due diligence), process assessments and financial modelling.

As the ideal candidate, you will have a degree level or equivalent qualification in electrical, mechanical, or building services. You will have at least 5 years of experience either performing energy, BMS or renewables audits and/or delivering control optimisation programs in a variety of client sectors. You will have a UK driver's license and be willing to travel across the UK.
