Senior Energy Portfolio Analyst

It’s all about you..We’re looking for a great senior portfolio analyst for our Commercial Energy team.With a depth of experience in the energy world, strong modelling skills and a great understanding of the drivers of the P&L, you will be perfectly positioned to deliver our modelling and analysis activities across the energy portfolio and customer behaviour, provide actionable insight and work with colleagues in other P&L streams to hit targets. Your commercial and modelling expertise will support the team in highlighting commercial risks via sensitivity and scenario analysis. And your vision and drive will ensure that UW’s energy portfolio is fit for the future.Here's the key attributes we'll need you to demonstrate to succeed in this role:You will have accumulated a depth of knowledge in the energy industry and competitor market awareness;A degree in a STEM-related subject or equivalentHave experiencein driving positive commercial and risk management outcomesGreat statistical and portfolio modelling experienceGreat communication skills with experience of presenting to director-level stakeholdersExperience of coaching and developing more junior colleaguesCoding skills - SQL/Python are essential (and Big Query experience is desirable)Like to take real accountability for making things happenHave a talent for making complex concepts easy for others to understandAre an empathetic team player who collaborates closely with others.Embrace iteration, high-paced delivery, and are comfortable with changeWe work together. The team look to ensure existing customers have the best deals whilst future-proofing our energy supply and contracts. It's a team of absolute experts who thrive on cutting through the complexity to get to the heart of the commercial drivers of our success.You'll report into the Head of Commercial Optimisation and work in a small team with high impact.We deliver progress.
